Universal Declaration of Human Rights Booklet:

This booklet aims to raise awareness of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, specifically Article 5, and the ongoing violations of these rights. Article 5 states: "No one shall be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhuman, or degrading treatment or punishment."

Presented as a collection of secret files, the booklet gives the reader the impression of uncovering classified information from the military and government about the torture occurring in society today. The prominent use of red evokes strong emotions such as passion and anger, drawing the reader into the book's content and fostering a sense of sympathy for the victims. Red, also the colour of blood, symbolises the pain and torment endured by those affected.

The narrative is further developed through powerful imagery, such as x-rays, smudges, fingerprints, and handprints, which confront the reader and bring the horrific accounts of torture to life. These visual elements force the reader to grasp the physical and emotional suffering endured by the victims. Additionally, the use of rough, distressed typography evokes how these torture victims felt and were treated, deepening the reader's emotional response to the facts and statistics and helping them visualise the true impact of these violations.
